The Art of Being Seen
There are parts of us that linger just beyond the surface, pieces we keep obscured, whether out of habit, fear, or quiet protection.
Sometimes, we tuck them away so well that even we forget they’re there.
Maybe it’s the version of yourself that once burned too brightly and was told to dim.
Maybe it’s a part of you that’s still raw, still tender, still finding its shape. Maybe it’s the person you are becoming, the one who feels too big, too much, too different from who you were before.
We learn to hide in small ways: a deflection in conversation, a glance away, a hesitation before we speak. We stay just out of reach, just out of focus, because sometimes, visibility feels like risk.
What if we are seen and misunderstood? What if we are seen and not accepted?
But there is also power in being seen—fully, as we are.
Not for what we perform, not for what we prove, but simply for existing in our wholeness.
To be seen is to be witnessed.
To be witnessed is to be known.
And to be known TRULY is to be loved.
So today, a reflection:
What parts of you have been waiting to step forward?
Where have you been holding back, and what would happen if you let yourself be fully seen? Not just in ways that feel safe, but in the ways that feel real.
The world doesn’t need you hidden.
The most beautiful thing about you is how you exist exactly as you are.
